About Me
Hi! I’m Elysia Vivanco, and I’m from Plantation, Florida. I’m an undergraduate student at the University of Florida, majoring in Microbiology and Cell Science.
I have always been interested in science, but during my time at UF, I’ve found myself most intrigued by host-microbe interactions. I am hoping to pursue a PhD after I graduate, and I look forward to delving further into research. Aside from academics, I enjoy drawing and painting, hiking, going to the beach, traveling, and trying new foods. I also like to spend time with my pet tortoise, Bean! Through my involvement with the University Scholars and International Scholars programs, I have had the opportunity to document my international and research experiences within this ePortfolio. I am excited to share my portfolio with you!
